Sign language Interpreter

Miss Dangana Deborah, a native of New Karu, from the Karu Local government area of Nassarawa State. She completed both primary and secondary school in Ibadan Oyo State, after which she proceeded to federal college of education Oyo special, Oyo State. Miss Deborah is a professional sign language interpreter here in Nigeria, she worked and volunteered at different programs, Seminars, courtesy visit, Advocacy, workshop etc. both nationally and internationally. She has provided a sign language interpretation services at Lebanon and Kenya and was nominated together with the ASLIN president by the deaf stakeholders to USA for a GAIN project together with two deaf leaders. She was amongst the six persons posted to the 6 general hospital to provide sign language interpretation services for the Deaf women as a pilot project sponsor by IPAS in F.C.T.

Apart from Interpreting for the deaf, she also worked with person with disabilities by bridging communication barriers between the deaf cluster group and the Society at large.
